The old part of town and the Stadthaus Unterseen have developed into a sort of hospitality hotspot in the Interlaken area. For centuries guests have been arriving and departing from the house in the middle of the square. Their stories are stored within the thick walls. Don’t be afraid if you think you feel a ghostly presence  – we foster the old spirit, hospitality in its original meaning, directly and from the heart.

In 2014 the restaurant reopened with a new concept devised by René Schudel: alpine classics from the kitchen, wines from Switzerland and three regional beers on tap. In the summer the terrace is where it all happens!
